An experimental short created for the second issue of EVA, an Italian magazine-on-DVD. Memorar looks at the reassembled memories of different characters in an urban environment - whether they're nostalgic, wistful, fearful, regretful - as pieced together and constructed from more basic building blocks, and as such inevitably imperfect.

The characters and elements of their memories were shot on a variety of Super8 stocks; other elements were created from still photographs and animated to give them depth and life.

Did that make any sense? Okay look. The idea is that memory is fundamentally flawed, because we omit and embellish details as required to shape the event or place into something more meaningful to our current reality, and I've tried to reflect that in the treatment of the subject matter. Each memory comes from an unspecified time and place that may or may not reflect an actual event in the characters' lives. Hopefully that was clearer.

Also on the EVA02 dvd, ten minutes of footage of me trying to sound smart, as well as the videos for Appearances and All the Kids. Big thanks to Air King for the sound design.
